Nokia demoes Ovi Maps SR6 at CTIA (video)
At CTIA 2011, Nokia kindly demonstrated for us the latest version of its navigation software – Ovi Maps SR6, running on T-Mobile's Nokia Astound. Key improvements from its predecessor were shown off, including the live traffic updates functionality, and the ability to download map data over Wi-Fi for an area of your choice. A selection of widgets for the application has also been made available, along with the option to record your own voice for use with turn-by-turn navigation. Check out the video below for a hands-on demonstration!

nice, thx, free offline navigation on a $80 phone might win Nokia some share of the US market...

I think almost all nokia phones have free offline navigation (by downloading the map to ur phone's memory).
That is the only single thing I loved about the first(and last) Nokia I had, the N95. I sold it just because of Symbian. Android wasn't even out at that time so all i could compare it with was my old sony ericsson w810i phone (which I believe also ran symbian, not sure) but was much much better.

I just don't understand how people like symbian when there are better choices out there :s
