BlackBerry is sending out invites to an international event

Just what is going on at BlackBerry? On one hand, you have the company's board hiring an investment banker in an attempt to find a buyer for the company (perhaps they should try Craig's List) before November ends. On the other hand, the BlackBerry Aristo Z30 is apparently undergoing carrier testing. On the third hand (use your imagination), the OEM is sending out invitations to a series of international media events.

The big date is September 18th and the event is taking place in Malaysia, France and India and we would expect more locations to come. Those who follow BlackBerry speculate that the event will introduce the BlackBerry Aristo Z30. Or, another possibility is that the company is introducing the eagerly awaited BBM platform for Android and iOS.

BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins is apparently trying to keep a "business as usual" mentality even while the company's new bankers are playing dialing for dollars.
