Apple iPhone 6 concept shows luscious edge-to-edge display, even thinner body
Apple’s next iPhone is not expected to arrive until at least September, but leaks and rumors have really accelerated in the past few weeks, and all agree on one thing - Apple’s alleged iPhone 6 will feature a 4.7-inch display. We have seen leaked schematics, molds and cases, and now, French publication NoWhereElse has commissioned designer Martin Hajek to use all this information to conceptualize the next-gen iPhone.

What we get is twenty high-quality concept images that put all we know about Apple’s next iPhone in a beautiful visual wrapper.

The concept shows an iPhone 6 with a nearly edge-to-edge display, with very minimal side bezels. This is the main reason why the next iPhone does not look hugely bigger than the current iPhone 5s - the smaller bezels allow for a bigger screen at just a slightly larger physical body of the phone.

The drawings also show the expected change in the design - with smoother, curvier edges. The concept also paints a picture of a new iPhone that is a spectacular 20% thinner than the already slender 5s. Finally, the back of the phone also no longer features a two-tone design, and the plastic cap on the top and bottom is gone. Take a look, and let us know: would you buy the iPhone 6 if it looked like this?

That is one UGLY design, it reminds me of the iPhone 3G, which was good for its time but isn't really anything special now design wise. The best example of the next iPhone was the shrunken iPad air design that someone made a while ago. They have said it before and likely will try to make all of their products uniform in looks.

To bad they fail everywhere else .. No sd card for one.. For 2 you can only install apps from apple app store . 3 they constanly screw up things so you have to update . The on;ly reason they do it is to keep the jailbreakers having to keep finding new ways to jailbreak. 4 Thier hardware specs barely compare to phones that are 3 years old .. Very outdated ..Are you serious they dont even list the speed of thier processors because they dont want you comparing it to other phones. The iphone 5 S has a 1.3 ghz processor my galaxy S2 has a 1.5ghz and its from 2011 . I dont get it ..Why do you want to pay more for way less. ? They always fail and they do it on purpose so they can keep selling you new phones that are outdated .. Enjoy your brand new outydated phone. Galaxy S5 has a 2.5ghz quad core processor and in some cases a 8 core .. It will be at least 5 years befor Iphones have these kind of specs

It's aleady thin enough, at least according to me. I don't want a 6 or so mm thin phone. :(
Probably gonna stick with my Nexus 5 for now.

For me, as long as a case is being used with a phone, I'm not sure if there is such a thing as being too thin.

But if it's too thin, there won't be much room for the battery.

I'm not quite sure yet. I'm waiting on Motorola and Apple to release their next flagships, then I'll choose between those and the HTC One M8. Though, to be honest, I don't have much faith in Motorola anymore. When they were owned by Google, they made sure to push updates out as fast as possible, but now that Lenovo owns them, they're slacking. There was only a 2 week difference between the Moto X 4.4 update and the 2013 Droid 4.4 update. But now, it's been 2 months since the Moto X got 4.4.2 and we haven't even gotten a soak test invite yet. Also, it took Motorola 20 days to update the Moto X to 4.4, but over 2 months to update it to 4.4.2, guess what happened between those 2 months? The Lenovo acquisition. The jump from 4.4 to 4.4.2 took 3 times as long as the jump from 4.2 to 4.4. I'm afraid this will carry on in later products and is a sign that I need to jump ship from Moto if I want timely updates.

I really wish Google had kept them. They would be so much better. So, it's either the iPhone or the M8 for me.

You are uneducated in this field, and should not be stating this. You only hear about Apple doing because they are the richest and most successful tech company in the world, like it or not. You don't hear about it because if you did, from any other company, it quite frankly isn't interesting or exciting at all.

I like the minimal design with the (claimed) iPhone 6, but starting to look like its Android competitors plasticky and cheap.

Personally the I like the aluminum bezel on most phone but the Lumia series by Nokia also creates sturdy well built phones. Even the lower end devices.

Plastic does not equate to cheap and unsturdy. You may have the opinion, but are you aware that there are now airplanes made primarily of plastics? Bullet proof glass is made with plastics. NASA is also working on designing space crafts using plastics. Plastic is lightweight, sturdy and can be much stronger than the aluminum you like.

I didnt say plastic overall was cheap and unsturdy. Most bezels on these flagships are CHEAPLY built. You and I know that especially with the Samsung brand. HTC M8 bezel im certain is built better than any Samsung phone they ever built.

If we dropped an iPhone 5S and dropped a Samsung Galaxy S4 im sure on of these would last a bit longer and barely be damaged.

What are you basing your opinion on? While the s3 and s4 flagships were not well designed for durability, the s2 and s5 do well. In fact the s2 trounced the 4s in durability tests, while the GS5 and iphone 5s are virtually identical. The GS5 and HTC M8 also score nearly identical. Based on squaretrade's durability testing, iphone 5s scores 5.5, GS5 =6, HTC = 6.5. Lower is better. Note, there is less than 10% difference between the 5s and GS5, as well as between the GS5 and HTC.

Doesn't justify your claims to show that LG's design is any better than iP4. Unless you can take a picture of the G3 and show to me that it'll have a spectacular design.

Please note that I am not a fanboy of any brand, just a fandroid. G2 design is not very good, but of course is the best phone of 2013 as it has technological advances such as the minimum bezels and blazing speeds that lets you forget on how good the phone actually looks/designed.

It's great to see Apple making their own version of the HTC One M8. I guess Apple can call theirs the iOne A8. Just copy HTC, remove the ph from phone, remove the second camera, and Apple is all set for innovation in their the next generation products.

Well, I hope that is like not going to be what iPhone 6 could look like. It doesn't have that premium look as 5 or 5S. Me "no likey" that bland looking back, nor the overly-rounded corners. Doesn't look that 1000$ worth, IMO.
But I give this person, who created this, a cookie. Concept render looks nice and pretty realistic looking to me :P
