T-Mobile is making the impossible possible for Samsung's Galaxy S26 series today
The Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra are apparently receiving their stable One UI 9 updates in the US before (almost) any other country in the world.
The last few days were supposed to be a time of celebration for millions of Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra owners around the world following Samsung's long overdue announcement of an official One UI 9 rollout for its latest non-foldable Android powerhouses, but instead of that, confusion lingers and a lot of people are starting to get bad One UI 7 memories.
Believe it or not, T-Mobile is performing a legitimate miracle as we speak, delivering stable Android 17-based One UI 9 goodies to one of the best phones in the world before the S26 Ultra can run this OS version anywhere besides South Korea.

The totally unusual rollout on the US-leading "Un-carrier" is not yet confirmed by the mobile network operator itself, but multiple Redditors claim they've received a massive 4GB+ package of UI tweaks and performance improvements, and at least one of them can even back their assertions with an undoubtedly real screenshot.
That doesn't include a detailed changelog, but it confirms the software update version and the September security patches arriving with your other One UI 9 add-ons and enhancements.
What about the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus?
Oddly enough, no one seems to be in a position to confirm the same update is currently rolling out to the S26 Ultra's smaller brothers as well, but that probably has more to do with the limited US popularity of the Galaxy S26 and S26+ than anything else.

If the S26 Ultra is getting an update, and said update is (slowly) making its way across the nation, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are all but guaranteed to receive the exact same treatment without (further) delay.
What about other carriers and variants?
That, my friends and dear readers, is the million-dollar question, and obviously, I don't have an answer for you just yet. If history is any indication, the Verizon and AT&T-specific Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra could follow the examples of their T-Mobile-sold counterparts within hours, days, or even weeks.

The same (more or less) goes for US unlocked units, although generally, Samsung is a lot slower than its carrier partners stateside in ironing out last-minute kinks and greenlighting major OS upgrades.
Of course, the same isn't usually true for other countries across Europe and Asia, which almost always beat the US to the punch when it comes to these types of software updates, so T-Mobile definitely deserves a lot of praise for making America a world heavyweight champion (or rather a vice-champion behind South Korea) for once.
