Pixel Glow makes another appearance in a video teaser
Google launched a new teaser for the Pixel 11 Pro today, which shows the Pixel Glow feature in more detail than we’ve ever seen it before. The depiction in the new teaser is similar to its earlier teaser, but the glowing circle is shown head-on and in a much cleaner way.
Called “The Next Obvious Move,” the teaser has a pretty direct message that you’re probably ready to transition to a Pixel 11 phone. The video names several Google apps and services, suggesting that you’re already using them, so you’re likely to enjoy the company’s hardware, as well.

What is Pixel Glow all about?
Even after two teasers, we still don’t know much more about Pixel Glow than it’ll look a lot like the infamous spinning wheel of death on macOS. Some early rumors suggested it may work like a notification LED that’ll light up when the phone is face down and something important happens.

It remains unknown how much control over the feature will be available and whether it will support multiple colors or not. Considering Google’s abysmal history of leaks, we could learn more about it well before the August 12 premiere of the company’s new devices.
One thing that seems certain and pretty divisive among Pixel fans is that the light will replace the infrared thermometer the Pixel 10 Pro used to have. While some users on Reddit noted few people even used the thermometer, others painted its removal as a cost-cutting move with no value.

This is Google’s last chance for a surprise
As much as I like learning about upcoming devices ahead of their official launches, the amount of leaks coming from Google feels excessive. I’m glad Pixel Glow is more or less a mystery, and I hope it remains one until the event next month.
