It's been nearly a month since Amazon last dropped a reasonable discount on the Galaxy Watch 8. But now, the retailer owned by Amazon is giving you a surprisingly good discount on this model, practically making it my favorite pre-Black Friday deal. Believe it or not, you can buy the 40mm version with Wi-Fi connectivity for just $224.99.

To make things even more exciting, Woot gives you a one-year Samsung warranty for extra peace of mind. When you consider Amazon's current pricing on the same model, which is close to $280, by the way, the Woot deal is clearly a winner if you want to maximize your savings.

If you're after longer battery life, the Garmin Forerunner 165 is the one for you. It's going for less than $200 right now.

Over at Amazon, you can now buy the Galaxy Watch 8 for 8% off its original price. Although this is a solid discount, it still brings the model to about $280, which isn't the lowest price you can get right now. The promo is available on the model in Graphite.

The Galaxy Watch 8 has already welcomed a successor, but it remains one of the best wearables for Samsung phone users. It packs a slim and premium design, while the Wear OS interface makes daily interactions feel surprisingly intuitive.

Let's not overlook the feature set. The model comes with everything you could need to keep your overall health in check, including a body composition indicator, heart rate tracker, sleep insights, and an excellent auto workout detection feature.

Like we've said in our Galaxy Watch 8 review, this bad boy is surprisingly good at detecting when you begin a workout. So, even if you forget to manually start a run, you can rest assured your metrics will be recorded.

If you ask me, the Galaxy Watch 8 wouldn't be so easy to recommend if it wasn't this epic Woot deal. At 36% off, last year's Samsung smartwatch is an absolute delight for anyone looking to complete their Galaxy ecosystem without spending way too much.
