Samsung hasn't announced the Galaxy S27 yet, but impatient accessory makers have already listed cases compatible with the brand's upcoming Android phones at major retailers, including Amazon.

This could mean the company is on track for a January launch, as indicated by some earlier reports.

The folks over at SammyGuru noticed different cases compatible with Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra at Amazon UK. I didn't take the info at face value, of course, and did some digging myself.

Turns out you can indeed already buy a case for the unreleased S27 Ultra and other Galaxy S27 models at the e-commerce giant. Curiously, there is more than one model available from multiple brands at the time of writing. Even at the US version of Amazon, I came across a case that's supposedly compatible with the S27 Ultra.

While there's no way to guarantee that these early-birdie accessories will actually fit the upcoming flagship phones, the early listing could suggest Samsung is moving along nicely and possibly on time for a January launch.

Still, I must point out that the appearance of compatible cases at retailers isn't conclusive proof that the launch is just around the corner.

Do you think phones are becoming too ugly to use without a case?

Not the first time

This isn't the first time cases and compatible accessories have arrived before the actual Galaxy S launch. In fact, casemakers did the same thing before Samsung announced both the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S26. So, the appearance of compatible accessories ahead of the Galaxy S27 launch is nothing new.

With the last two generations, however, compatible cases appeared just several weeks before the official Galaxy Unpacked event, not months in advance. And yet, early listings don't necessarily mean Samsung is planning to unveil the Galaxy S27 series before January.

I wouldn't buy now

If you've already made up your mind about upgrading to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, you may feel compelled to get a case in advance. If I were you, I wouldn't do it just yet.

As I mentioned earlier, these cases may turn out to be incompatible with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, even though casemakers should have the final dimensions of each device.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Samsung will probably offer a bonus as part of its reservation campaign. This one usually comes in the form of a discount that can be applied toward accessories at the time of pre-order.

So, it might be better off to wait now and get an original Samsung case with your Galaxy S27 Ultra pre-order rather than go for one through a third-party retailer that may not fit.
