Best Buy has a Surface Pro 'deal of the day' tablet fans may want to consider
This October is shaping up to be one of the most jam-packed months in recent memory in terms of high-profile mobile hardware announcements, but what you may not have realized is that Microsoft will be kicking off the festivities.

A number of new Surface-branded products are expected to see daylight on October 2, ahead of the LG V40 ThinQ, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Razer Phone, Huawei Mate 20/Mate 20 Pro, and OnePlus 6T. That can only mean one thing as far as older Surface generations are concerned.

It’s probably going to start raining deals soon enough, but for the time being, you may need to settle for a little drizzle. Enter Best Buy’s latest discount on the entry-level Surface Pro (2017) configuration, bringing the price of the 2-in-1 computer down to a new all-time low $549.

That’s a whopping $250 off list, and it’s only valid today, although it obviously doesn’t include a physical keyboard. Just the 12.3-inch Windows 10 tablet with Intel Core m3 inside, 4GB RAM, and a speedy 128GB solid state drive.

We’ve actually seen this particular variant marked down relatively frequently over the past few months, but never before has it been offered so cheap. It previously either dropped to $700 or $600 from a typical recommended price of $799.

Apple’s hesitation to upgrade the iPad Pro family further boosts the appeal of a productive, versatile, and (fairly) powerful device that can be paired with a $99 Surface Pen and $130 and up Surface Pro Type Cover sold separately. By the way, Best Buy currently charges as little as $73 and $125 respectively for those essential accessories.
