Deal: Save $200 on Microsoft's newest Surface Pro tablet
If you're thinking of buying a new tablet, Microsoft wants you to know that it's currently offering a couple of its newest Surface Pro hybrid devices at reduced prices. More exactly, Microsoft is taking $200 off the price of the Surface Pro with Intel Core i5 processor, 128 GB SSD and 4 GB of RAM, and of the Surface Pro with Intel Core i5, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM. Thanks to this offer, you can buy the former for $799 (instead of $999), and the latter for $1,099 (instead of $1,299).

This deal is available until February 24 (Saturday), and, unfortunately, it does not include accessories that allow you to unleash the full potential of the Surface Pro - like a Type Cover keyboard (priced starting at $129.99), and/or a Surface Pen stylus ($99.99).

Released in the summer of 2017, the new Surface Pro (5th generation) runs Windows 10 Pro, and represents an incremental upgrade over the Surface Pro 4, bringing a streamlined design, improved performance, and superior battery life. You can find the tablet at Microsoft's website via the source link below.

I love the Surface brand but I think the type cover and pen should just be bundled into whatever model you choose.

You’re worried about the type cover? I’m worried about the non-upgradable 4GB RAM. A “pro” device this day and age should have 8GB RAM as the bare minimum, if not, 16GB.

Yeah I was considering the SP3 or 4 but I think I'm going to go with either the Lenovo Yoga 720 13 inch or the HP Spectre x360. I need something with pen support for sure though as I plan to use it for some artistic things.

rsiders Check out the HP x2 1012 too. They come up cheap on Ebay because no one has heard of the things. 8Gb 256 SSD M5 including pen and keyboard for about £450. I had an SP4 but the pen was rubbish. It dampened motion so my writing came out as a scruffy scrawl.

Wow thanks for the recommendation. I'm going to check the reviews now on YouTube.

An ultra portable laptop is much better in value and performance.

The pen and keyboard should definitely be included. Heck my phone has more RAM than the base version.

I had a Surface Pro 2 when it first came out. That had 4gb which was acceptable back then. if you want to get the latest ones with 8gb you're adding an extra 50% onto the price

Bought a SP4 from eBay recently. It was $600 for the 256gb and 8gb RAM. Yes, it's an older model, but it does everything the new model can with little compromise.
