BlackBerry KEY2 teaser reveals mystery button on the keyboard (VIDEO)

The button has a symbol on it consisting of nine dots spread out in three rows of three dots each. It most likely will prove to be a shortcut/multitasking key, but we will have to wait until next month to find out for sure. Other changes include the replacement of the glossy keys on the KEYone with keys that display a matte finish. And the power button has been moved from the left to the right side of the device.

The KEY2 is expected to be equipped with the same 4.5-inch display used on the original model. That means we should expect the screen to carry a resolution of 1080 x 1620 and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Under the hood we should find the Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform. That chip features an octa-core CPU running at a clock speed of 2.2GHz and the Adreno 512 GPU. 6GB of RAM is said to be inside, along with 64GB of internal storage. The new chipset and a slightly smaller 3360mAh battery (the OG model had a 3505mAh cell) could mean lower battery life compared to the KEYone. That would be a shame considering that this was one of the major standout features of the original.
