Nokia Lumia 630 ad puts emphasis on apps, says close to nothing about the phone itself
Nokia's latest ad about the Nokia Lumia 630, which is the first Windows Phone device in the world to come with WP 8.1 and on-screen navigation buttons, does not focus on the affordable mid-ranger itself, but on apps that are available for the platform. It's purpose is toprobably prove that the existing app gap between Windows Phone and Android/iOS is not that large.

The ad boasts that some of the more popular an essential social apps and games are already available on the Lumia 630 - Viber, Shazam, Instagram, Vine, and Asphalt 8: Airborne, to name a few. Yes, it is mainly targeted at the younger generation, and hopefully for Microsoft, which owns Nokia's Devices & Services unit, it will close its eyes to certain hardware limitations of the Lumia 630, such as the missing flash..

Without further ado, check out the ad below:

lol....Who's idea was to put night photography in the video ? It doesn't even have a flash. I'll get a Moto G instead.

Don't forget that there is no front facing camera as well. And it still only has 512mb of ram. Run all those apps show in the ad, and then switch between them. Now users will truly see how fast the 630 is. Its not.

they did not promote to run those apps all at the same time.but can just run all those apps. you cant even do that on a low end android, unless you can ignore all those lags and stutters

On an Android the same price as the 630, you can run the apps with no "lags and stutters"...

True, and at the beginning of the video look in the lower left corner, where it says "screen images are simulated and sequences are shortened"… because in real life he screen won't have the sharpness you see in the video and the phone won't be that fast, but Nokia has a long tradition of faking ads…

I can see grammar is not your strong suit. 'I will' means in the future a Rockin' a rooted Moto G right now. Thanks for being so concerned about me :)

In India, the Lumia 630 dual sim is priced almost 4k lower than the dual sim Moto G. So yeah, the Moto G is NOT the undisputed king of the low end segment, at least not in India. Also, Nokia is a much better known brand than Motorola in India.

Only 4k lower? It should sell for half he price of the moto g.

Why should it I ask? It has a slightly better camera, expandable storage, removable battery and will have longer software support. So again I ask, WHY should it be priced for half the price? Both the phones are equal. The L630 has a few things better than the Moto G and vice versa. Stop trolling.

Unlike L520 had to be sold at half the price of MotoG for Nokia to be able to sell their rejected NwpL520.

maybe that's because it was cheaper in first place?

No user replaceable battery and SD slot on Moto G. I'll take Lumia 630 instead.

Nokia has technology that can take better bright photo in low light.... So don't need flash for that.
