"Never Settle" teaser maybe hints at OnePlus 4 (OnePlus 5?). Or just a jet black color for an existing product

By now, anyone who dares call themselves a smartphone fan knows about OnePlus — the company that broke out with an extreme bang-for-the-buck flagship device, then stirred some controversy with a number of questionable giveaway contests, and finally hit all the right notes with its 3rd flagship, the OnePlus 3 (and even more so with it's upgraded variant – the 3T). Now, as these things go, the time for another refresh of the OnePlus line of devices is drawing near, and rumors are picking up.

First, we heard that the OnePlus 4 would have a massive 4,000 mAh battery and 6 GB or even 8 GB of RAM. OnePlus is no stranger to pushing the boundary in terms of RAM, so we could easily see the upgrade to 8 GB being real. Later, we got a rumor that the company plans to skip the number 4, since it's said to be an unlucky number, and land straight on the OnePlus 5 name. Reports also suggested that the phone would have a ceramic body, like the Xiaomi Mi Mix or the OnePlus X midrange experiment's limited edition, which we saw a couple of years ago.

Now, we get our very first teaser, suggesting that more info on the new OnePlus might be coming our way soon. Posted by serial leakster @evleaks, we've got a brand-new wallpaper-esque image with the words Never Settle — OnePlus' signature quote — plastered on top of it. It looks dark, it looks hot, consider us teased!

To top it off, smartphone pundit David Ruddock also dropped a heavy teaser, saying the OnePlus might announce something very soon... something possibly in a Midnight Black color, to which OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei was quick to reply with a GIF of wolves howling in the night. Well, the hints are heavy here — there will be something new, but what is it? A new OnePlus phone? A new color for the OnePlus 3T? A Jet Black case for it? Or is OnePlus going to be featured on The Game of Thrones as the dire wolves' phone company of choice?
