Latest Windows 10 Mobile screenshots demo the new Edge browser
UPDATE: In the meantime, a somewhat blurry preview of an even later, 10151 build, has leaked, and you can check it out in the video below.

While Windows 10 Mobile won't be shipping before the fall, the latest 10149 build has leaked out in the form of numerous screenshots for your viewing pleasure. While many of the features are still being decided upon, the overall appearance has begun to shape up. Just like with the latest Win 10 preview build, in these newest Windows 10 Mobile screenshots, we are seeing Microsoft's Project Spartan browser acquire its retail name - Edge - and its address bar has been moved to the bottom. This was one of the highly requested features, and Microsoft has delivered.

The Quick Actions menu has received a number of toggles like Flashlight, Cellular, Note, and Battery Saver, while the said battery-saving app is now laden with individual app options. There are also a number of small interface updates, such as the voicemail and messaging icons overhaul and the quick select menu of the apps list, along with numerous under-the-hood improvements for speed and stability that are beginning to resemble much more a finished version. Hopefully the phones that will come with it will be worth the wait, too, or Microsoft might have trouble on its hands with the current mobile strategy.

I agree. It looks nice but I think that Microsoft should make all tiles transparent so that the beautiful home screen is not disturbed by some green tiles not being transparent. The settings menu looks somewhat chaotic in my humble opinion.

they can keep certain color for some apps like green for Xbox or the Office set but make them translucent now that we finally have real backgrounds

You can already do that. Settings - personalization - start, and adjust the slider transparency to 0, its very adjustable.

You don't need to go to setting or even look at it since there is search option ave i also found that Android ave iPhone setting are even more chaotic. I personally put all the none transparent tiles like games on a folder so it's less disturbing. At first the gone screen was really irritating for me but now i can't imagine if there's a faster way to reach my apps it's really useful if you got many.

already kicking their behinds in the desktop version, in all benchmarks that we have seen so far other than html5 website test (which is bogus as it gives random points for nothing and non-html5 points too).

Honestly. The interface except the home is good. They design it well. unlike the android lollipop/M stock UI. It so Ugly. admit it.

Better than being lock into a UI that you may or may not like. Android can have any UI if we so desire. BTW Apple app launcher is very primitive by today standard and you are struck with it. Bobbydigital aka vivaapple aka jakelee aka nextlosernick aka...

if the user has no enough knowledge about custom roms, they are just relyng on launcher app. but the ugly interface except the desire launcher will stay with them. Many android users has no good brain like you to customize the entire UI as you want except the launcher. and the android STOCK UI are more primitive. Customizing the android UI? that is the proof that the STOCK UI of android is not good.

Yeah the the heavy customizable UI of android is rather confusing than to be effective UI should be simple and efficient i don't care really how it looks since it get me to apps and things i need fast.

Because i don't like sth doesn't mean i hate it or I'm idiot i find WP UI to be more efficient and things are much easier to find in and that's what matters to me. I bet you yourself don't even use a half of that customable things you have on your phone very few people do most of them don't even care how their UI look.

The homescreen is one of the best things about Windows Phone/ mobile. The others are boring to me by comparison.

It is really shaping up to look like the desktop, which is awesome. Just installed it on my tablet a couple of days ago, and it is sweet, other than a few issues.

I just rolled back to 8.1 on my Lumia 920 last night. Every build improves on the last and this looks like the builds that will finally stay on my 920 going forward until the full release. It's looking really good now.

W10 Dev preview runs smoothly on my Lumia 1020, and W10 is fast i like it. Only there is a battery drain issue, but bugs are expected because it's still in preview. Also edge browser is much faster than explorer!

That is NOT true. I have W10 Dev Preview on my Nokia Lumia 1020 and it runs extremely bad. It has a huge amount of bugs with the camera and Nokia native apps. Even scrolling from the main menu to the side menu with all the apps you can see a huge lag.

Sorry to say but mine runs smoothly after the last update! Also it depends on which version of the Phone you have, not every version is the same!

No it doesn't. Sorry to say but Windows 10 needs to get quad-core at least with more than 1 GB of ram dedicated to the system. WP10 runs like crap on phones
