HTC U11+ to have a "translucent" color variant

We're only a few days away from HTC's November 2 event, wherethe company will likely unveil the high-end HTC U11+ (or U11 Plus), and maybethe mid-range U11 Life, too.

The U11+ is shaping up to be a very interesting smartphone.Besides bringing various novelties - including a 6-inch, 18:9 aspect ratiodisplay with pretty thin bezels - the handset may have a rare colorvariant: translucent.

According to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), translucent is oneof the three color versions of the HTC U11+, alongside black and silver. Normally, translucent should mean that the phone features a see-through exterior, though thismight also be just a fancy name for a color that won't really let us see insidethe new device.

Not long ago, HTC revealed a U11+ teaser image - included above - showing whatlooks to be a slightly transparent rear shell, so translucent could very wellhave a literal meaning here. We'll just have to wait and find out if that's thecase.

If HTC will be true to its name variant and if it materialize. I hope other competitors will follow the lead. It's cool to see a smartphone variant with translucent/transparent. Just like any ps game controller. Just for a change from gold, rose gold, black, red color options.

If it just had an oled panel. Oh, and a 3.5mm jack. I've heard great things about the U11. That said, I hate articles about a color of a phone. Black or white, that's all we need anyway. This is tech, not a gucci bag

Translucent means only some amount of light can pass but cannot reveal any specific shapes inside. This is gonna be a SICK device!!! HTC U11+ and Oneplus 5T are going to be awesome additions to the 2017 smartphone game.

Zach said that he loves the see through options on his gadgets... Not necessarily transparent... Such as the old purple N64 controller...
