The U11 Plus may come with wireless charging, a new HTC teaser suggests

Make of it what you will, but, despite what @evleaks might have heard, the HTC could still land the U11 Plus next week, not only the U11 Life midranger. It just posted a teaser that seems to indicate that a phone with wireless charging and a rear-mounted finger scanner is awaiting its announcement on the November 2 event it scheduled.

Thus, we have every reason to believe that the rumored high-end U11 Plus will be there for the world to see. We've already established a list of the main new features one is to expect from the U11 Plus, and now we can add with near certainty wireless charging to it, too.

Knowing that Google just bought 3000 engineers from HTC something tells me this is one of the last phones they will ever make. If not I would not trust any new phones from HTC anymore. They have basically either fired or sold most of their engineers working on phones. Have fun to whoever gambles buying an HTC phone from now on.

Buying their phones before the engineers went off to google was already a gamble. I don’t see HTC lasting much longer in the phone industry. It’s sad because they were my favorite.

Google bought 2000 - exacly half of the mobile division staff. Second half is still at htc and by reducing potrfilio to only few phones/year this might be sufficient. HTC is not going anywhere soon. And i dont really know why you yhink its a gamble. they had some bad phones like U ultra, but U11 proved to be great and U11 plus sound like a winner to me.

Because America is a huge country and I bet a lot of HTC's remaining business comes from there.

The HTC U11 Plus won't be announced on 2 November according to @evleaks, only the mid-range HTC U11 Life will be showed.

Unless they updated this article, they stated that in this article, stating despite what he said, it could still be announced next week, or the day of the event.

Phonearena is all over the board with the 11/2/2017 announcement by HTC. One article a little bit ago said no HTC 11+ now they may announce wireless charger for it even though it may not be announced. Top notch reporting.

It seems that it will have a transparent back, which might be very cool; I doubt that they will brag about wireless charging. Now along this and if the rumors are right about the 4000 mah battery, the already best camera on a phone especially with pro-mode, 18:9 LCD (no pixel burning), around 80% screen to body ratio, perfect fingerprint location and no bloatware (can you hear me Samsung), and expected good price (come on apple 1200!! For a phone)... This might be the best phone of 2017.
