Report: Four new iPad tablets are coming; here are their rumored names and color options
Just yesterday, we told you that four iPad Pro models were being tested in San Francisco and Cupertino according to mobile marketing firm Fiksu. Today, a report out of Greece reveals the names of four new iPad models that will be offered soon by Apple. According to the report, these tablets will be called the Apple iPad Pro 9.7-inch 2, Apple iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2 and the Apple iPad Mini Pro.

The 10.5-inch model is expected to feature thinner bezels, and both that tablet and the iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2 are said to feature the Apple A10X chip inside. The iPad Pro 9.7-inch 2 will reportedly be powered by the A9 chip, the same one that is found under the hood of the Apple iPhone 6s. The four tablets will be available in Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold, and each will come with 32GB/128GB / 256GB of native storage.

Currently, Apple has two versions of the iPad Pro available. There is the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Both models support the Apple Pencil and are powered by the A9X chip.

While there was hope that the new iPads would be unveiled as soon as next week (without a hullabaloo), it now appears as though the Apple iPad Pro 10.5-inch model will not see the light of day until next month.

The problem isnt against others.

The problem is that it gives me no good reason to upgrade my air 2.this thing turns 3 this year, and youre telling me that the only thing theyve done is slash the price by presumably $100?

Reason why I am getting a new iPad Air 2 is because battery life is starting to take a serious beating after all these years. Will certainly welcome the 10.5" iPad Pro even if it was 700USD. Not too bad given I won't be upgrading for at least another two years.

Apple tablets are old news, less and less people use them anymore. They are outdated technology.

"Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch"? Didn't another Phonearena article state 12.3 inch?

"The iPad Pro 9.7-inch 2 will reportedlybe powered by the A9 chip, the same one that is found under the hood of theApple iPhone 6s"

So, the next iPad Pro 9.7-inch will be weaker than the current one... That makes the current 9.7-inch a better buy.

I don't understand why Apple had to confuse the naming scheme to such extent. iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2.......WTH????

I get it that they want to unify all the iPads as 'Pro' models, but that isn't necessary at all. They could get away with just three simple models: iPad Pro 2 (12.9 inch), iPad Air 3 (10.5 inch, replacing the 9.7"), and iPad Mini 5 (7.9 inch). How difficult is it? You crazy Apples.....!

It sounds like they want the larger models to have the faster chip. The 12.9 and 10.5 will have the faster chips. The A9X will be reserved for the old 12.9 Pro while the A10X will be for the new 12.9 and 10.5 inch tablets. The A9 will be for the smaller 9.7 inch and mini models. If you want a 9.7model, you better run out and get last years model with the A9X!

If Apple is going to release a new 9.7 inch Pro with a weaker chip, then I see absolutely no reason why I should update from my current 9.7 inch Pro with the more powerful chip. Not a good look on that part, Apple.

Apple hasn't announced anything yet. Not that it would matter here in this case.

Hence the word "if". Your butthurt over my opinion on devices with an Apple logo that I actually own and use is apparent, and it's making your reading comprehension skills worse than they already are. Or are you doing your normal BS and trying to pick a fight that you'll later play your usual victim role in?

Oh I'm not butthurt at all. "You're" the one who is butthurt. Your opinion is worthless is equivalent to Donald Trump's words: a joke.

To answer your question, I'm only doing what you yourself continues to do. If you can't take the heat, then stay out of the kitchen and stop lighting a fire you can never put out.

Lol, you're extremely butthurt, especially since you can't even discern the context in which I used the word "your". I was referring to your *actual butthurt, not the fact that you are butthurt. Again, it's called "reading comprehension", and it's a skill that you're sorely lacking in.

The difference between me doing it to you vs you doing it to me is that I know what I'm talking about. I make educated comments based on actual ownership and usage. YOU, on the other hand, make ignorant comments about devices that you've admittedly never ever used, and don't plan on ever using. You didn't even know what processor the PRIV was using, or what OS it was running, until I corrected your ignorant statements that you made. You didn't even know the premise of the licensing agreement between BlackBerry and its licensees. I had to school you on the fact that BlackBerry has nothing to do with the pricing of their branded handsets, as that's now fully up to their licensees. They supply the software, security, and ensure the quality of the experience. That's it. Much like Google has no control over the pricing of Samsung's Android handsets. You tried to say I was wrong about it until Crispin schooled your ignorant @$$ on it as well, saying the same thing about it that I said. And then there was that time when you made the willfully ignorant comment about the PRIV camera, until me and Crispin schooled you on that again, and then you admitted that you only made the willfully ignorant comment because of your "feud" with me.

I keep telling you, you're no fire. You're a spark that half a drop of water can put out.

In other words, you're backtracking. It's ok, you don't have to thank me even though you technically were wrong.

Oh here you go with your twisted version of your stories. Honestly, I think you would give Bizarro a run for his money. You should consider talking to WB about a future role as Bizarro. You already have the twisted reality of him and your other personality can't string a sentence together to save his life.

Basically, you're just full of crap that it's spewing from your mouth, staining your teeth and all.

You should get some aloe for the massive burn I just gave you

In other words, I embarrassed you again, so now you're deflecting in order to hide it. It's ok, no need to be ashamed of yourself. Just admit that you have a reading comprehension issue and go get it taken care of.

Nothing twisted about it. You made ignorant statements that had to be corrected by myself, Crispin and Subie. I'll gladly link the articles if you need your memory refreshed. So stop lying about it in a pitiful attempt to change the story to suit your own false narrative.

Basically, you're trying to deflect and cover up from your ignorance, which you're still spewing today in the latest BlackBerry article.

You should apply that aloe on yourself, along with a cool, damp cloth. You definitely need it a hell of a lot more than I do after the way I just put you in your place again.

Why is people complaining about the A9 on the iPad, did you forget about the newly unveiled galaxy tab s3 with the snapdragon 820 which is worse than the A9? God, when will people get rid of double standards? SHM

No double standards here bro. Do you even know what a double standard is? You clearly don't because double standards is what Apple constantly enjoys and takes advantage of.

In order for the standard to be remotely comparable, it would have to be Samsung using the exynos 5430 for the tab S3 when the tab S2 used the Exynos 5433.

How using a superior chip all around is the same as taking out a more powerful chip and putting in a weaker one in order to rape your sheep by pricing it the same is the same as Samsung using the SD820 is beyond me.

That is not even getting into how Apple charges the most for products with using the cheapest parts and makes 100 billion in profit. While Samsung uses the most expensive parts and makes much less money off of their consumers.

No double standards here. I can't say the same for you though. Lol

Did you even read the article? The A10X which will be the most powerful chip from the day it's released (till the A11 comes out) will be inside the top tier iPads, the budget iPads will have the A9 which is even better than the 820, and those iPads will be cheaper than the tab S3, by your logic the S3 should be a snapadragon 821 at least... it's imposible to deal with blind fanboys like you, you can throw your money at whatever s**t Samsung releases it's not my business you waste your money on garbage and feel better just because you bought something different from apple and that makes u feel like you are winning your stupid war against the most successful company nowadays, you are delusional af
