Google confirms no Flash in ICS until Adobe updates it

Being that this will be a huge post with all trolls on it I have a question for you guys (sorry its off topic but better then dealing with trolls right and I have no idea where it will be on topic) . I know many of you buy a second battery for your phone but how do you charge that battery. You can only charge one at a time so wouldn't that second battery just be dead? Any reply is welcome thanks.
Anyway about flash who cares we know it will be updated soon and ICS will have flash any trolls posting otherwise lol ok

I bought this extended battery off ebay for my HTC Sensation and it came with a charger (and an extra battery). I got the HTC Rezound now and Im lovin it.
14. iankellogg posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:02 0
My old Droid had a dock that had an extra place to charge a second battery
15. KingKurogiii posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:03 1
i just charge them in the phone. when i finish one i'll just pop it out, pop the other one in and charge it.
19. androidphan posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:14 0
Some phones have separate chargers for battery only and some do not. These days you can usually get them on amazon or eBay. I would recommend a portable charger over a spare battery or extended battery though here's why: portable charger does not require any down time, allows for pass through charging (charge both at same time), costs same as battery, will work on future phones, can charge other devices via USB cable, easier to travel with, and doesn't require a special dock to charge a spare battery.
Just my thoughts, I use one and it's the best thing ever. I use on droid x and iPad (via USB)
22. KingKurogiii posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:17 0
i thought about portable chargers but they're not ideal for an all pockets guy like me.
23. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:19 0
Yeah has to fit in my already overcrowded pockets.
26. androidphan posted on 20 Nov 2011, 22:27 0
It will. The ones Motorola makes are very thin. I can charge my phone in my pocket and it is not an issue. Unless you wear skinny jeans? I dress business professional and it fits fine in any pocket. I always keep it in the inside pocket of my overcoat when not in use.
28. androidphan posted on 20 Nov 2011, 22:31 0
The Motorola one would not be ideal for you anyway. You have iPhone So you would need the one by iGo. That one is good, but slightly larger. I guess I don't understand why you even asked, iPhone can't have a spare battery. Only a specially designed case that has an extra battery pack built in. Around $100 for those.

Yea i know i have an iphone but am considering getting a nexus and bat life doesnt seem prommising so based on what everyone is telling me i dont think i found a solution i like.
53. mattkindmalta posted on 21 Nov 2011, 00:16 0
You dont need to buy an extra battery for your iphone cos it will last you a day and a half or even two days !! The driods needs to be charged every 5 hours !
32. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:01 0
Ummmm to be honest i do wear skinny jeans sometimes. Thats one of the reasons i like the iphone. I mean i dont wear them alot but i ussually wear shorts but i got alot of other stuff such two keys and a wallet.

those are nice gallito. i'm very picky about my own jeans like between the comfort, the fit, the color even the stitching are under my scrutiny. i'm like i am about phones in many aspects of my life.

Coming from a girls perspective (at least mine) when I see a guy wear pants that I can find in the girl's section, that's frightening. And not attractive. I'll take a guy wearing regular jeans. And it makes their butt look better. Just saying ;)
62. remixfa posted on 21 Nov 2011, 10:22 0
skinny jeans = not sexy.. so says the woman! :)
34. remixfa posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:08 0
you can get wall charger mounts for the spare battery. Depending on the phone and how common the battery is, there are multiple ways to charge.
there are also batterys that are built into cases now
and a battery charger device that plugs into the wall to charge, then can drain into the battery whenever you need it to.
40. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:19 0
Charging the battery while its not in the phone does sound like a good idea.
44. protozeloz posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:53 0
I have a extended battery for long trips and I bough an universal charger like this one
just plug in your battery and it charges when you need it
hope it helps
46. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:56 0
Thats legit. Great link. I wonder how this works with the nexus. Might be worth the off contract price if i can do that.
52. protozeloz posted on 21 Nov 2011, 00:05 0
give the nexus a couple of days and they will start telling you what works best on them and what accessory to buy, its what I do
54. biophone posted on 21 Nov 2011, 00:18 0
Yeah i am thinking battery life might be a problem but i guess work arounds will be fine. My ip4 is still a great phone and i might regret not waiting for quad core to land so i might just do that. Hopefully they could get battery life ironed out completly by then so i can enjoy a quad core lte phone withouth any worries. The nexus looks so cool though and i figure i could still get 200 for my ip4 so the nexus would only cost me 300 hundred dollars. Idk i do wait a 28nm quad core 2ghz phone with lte slim a 720p screen and a grwat battery lofe and i figure by that wont come out till my contract is up so maybe i will wait till then. I might be getting sucked into the nexus hype.

Good job michael for many reasons:
-Kept it short so maybe trolls will read it
-Stated in the title about adobe updating flash
-Clearly stated in the post the facts to stop trolls from going off about android not having flash
TACO please don't come on here and talk about how fandroids have to backpedal now they still like flash and will not backpedal.
3. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 20:11 1
Hmmmm, Skyfire allows flash use on iOS, wonder if it would for Android...
But reading about all this malware and other bric-a-brak floatin' 'bout, maybe no flash is not such a bad thing.... I surf on my iTouch 4th all the time with no flash (Skyfire is SLOW) and never really have any problems. In my experience, it is people who play flash games who have the biggest problems with no flash, but I just buy games on my devices, so it's not a problem.
My RAZR is currently running Gingerbread if memory serves, I wonder if flash will be available before the 4.0 update.
27. networkdood posted on 20 Nov 2011, 22:29 0
HUH? You can run flash on Gingerbread or Froyo...you should already have ADOBE FLASH if you have Gingerbread....and you have a DROID RAZR? Cool, how is that doing for you? I may end up getting one.
30. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 22:51 0
I meant I wondered if Skyfire would allow you to use flash on ICS (?) Droid RAZR just sits here until its protectors and case arrive, I also ordered a high speed 32gb card from sandisk ($120 WHY!?!) but who knows when that'll arrive.
Just wondering, are you on Head-Fi?
36. Droid_X_Doug posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:10 0
Where are you located? I ordered the Otterbox commuter case direct from Otterbox (standard shipping) and it arrived on Friday. I went with the anti-glare screen protectors that VZW is selling (they may not be the best, but IMO, they are good enough). If you have LTE in your neck of the woods, you are missing out not using your RAZR. I am seeing wicked FAST speeds on LTE in the S.F. Bay Area (faster than my Comcast cable modem service).

Pasadena CA, 4G is everywhere. I always cover my devices with a Zagg Invisible Shield on the back and sides, and a Martin Fields (www.martinfields.com) for the screen, interesting fact about the martin fields, they are so precision made they dont need a cutout for camera lenses, it covers them too with no distortion, some even have an anti reflective coating, the iTouch ones do. I then cover it with an otterbox commuter, which fits over it all (defender doesn't) I recently got my mother an Itouch 4th 8gb, (she lives in woodland hills and her first gen itouch 8gb doesn't have facetime so i gave her the 4th)
and used a Wrapsol to try out for the back, The coverage it provides isnt as good compared to the Invisible shield max but the screen protector I found quite nice smooth and glassy (kept it used a martin fields on her itouch), and according to their videos will also provide some impact protection. Considering the increased real estate the RAZR has over the iTouch, i felt some impact protection for the screen was in order.

biophone, I use battery packs, energizer made one that takes AA's and uses iGO brand power tips Energi to go , I love it because I can change the batteries in it and take off, I'm not too hot on rechargeable battery packs...
7. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 20:22 0
Sorry about the double post, I'd like to add this battery pack I mention contributed to my decision to buy a RAZR, replaceable batteries are useless in the face of a battery pack that, thanks to the iGO tips, can charge my Itouch and my RAZR, and can be ready to go again at the change of a set of batteries (I usually use sony brand rechargeable AA's in mine)
9. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 20:24 0
I don't want to carry around a battery pack with me. Is that asking to much?
10. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 20:33 0
You don't have an iPhone 4s do you? Battery life is not really an issue with me, My DROID gets around 50 hrs with it's two year old battery, I have a Droid X I play with, I activated it and with a new battery I got 30% at 72 hours, which is insane. CPU tuner and Mobo task killer make is possible. But I always have my Ipod touch with me so the DROID and the Touch split the battery bill. I RARELY use the battery pack, with the exception of traveling. (Just so you know I haven't started using my RAZR with the exception of setting it up due to the fact that the Zagg Invisible shield, Wrapsol screen protector, and Otterbox haven't arrived yet, and they are taking their time, and cant order from anyone but direct, first adopter blues)
as for your battery charging question, at the end of the day I charge the second one first and when it finishes charging I pull it out and charge the first one and it stays on the charger until morning, but I haven't had to do that craziness since I got my DROID 1
11. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 20:43 0
O thats way to annoying I don't want to do that. I have an iPhone 4 so no battery life problems for me I was just wondering. I have had a bunch of androids and have been curios about this for a while.
17. iankellogg posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:06 0
I just got the Droid razr and I just got 7 hours of screen on time. Something I could never do with my Droid incredible
21. androidphan posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:17 0
Don't use the battery packs that require AA batteries. Slow charge and you will over spend on AA batteries. Motorola makes a great portable charger (Verizon sells em)
24. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 21:37 0
Yes, I might pick one up. A slow charge is better for the phone's battery. Usually on my DROID I don't care, the battery is replaceable. But the RAZR's battery is built in like my iPod Touch, so I try to take better care of the battery.

man, i can hardly wait :)
41. biophone posted on 20 Nov 2011, 23:24 0
I have been playing with the sgs2 and its a great phone. You were right remixfa but i still dont like touchwiz but the exynos was buttery smooth. So I will wait it out until the sgs10 comes out which doubles as a space ship for when we f**k up the earth so bad and need to go to another planet.

So the Galaxy Nexus is going to function like an iphone in this area.
31. BattleBrat posted on 20 Nov 2011, 22:58 0
I'd imagine, being incompatible, it wouldn't even show up on the market.
Many apple users don't know that the market you access through your android phone only shows you apps your phone can run (there are a few exceptions but that is usually the case) and when you access the market through a computer, it won't let you buy any apps that your listed devices can't handle. The App store on a computer will let you buy anything, this has lead to some poor feedback for some higher demanding apps.
