Best Buy to offer significant discounts on iPhones

As we’ve reported earlier, AT&T is offering the $99 and $199 refurbished iPhones for qualifying customers. But big box retailer Best Buy is going to start offering an even better deal from the looks of it from a tipster. From February 22 to 28, select customers can receive significant discounts on new iPhones with a two year agreement. Best Buy has its own exclusive card membership called Reward Zone that enables customers to receive special deals and coupons. Current Reward Zone Premier members can get $100 off an iPhone 3G; meaning a brand new one and not the “refreshed” units they offer. Buying brand new, they are $99.99 for a new 8GB unit and $199.99 for the 16GB version. Now you just can’t pop into the store and become a Reward Zone Premier member. Best Buy classifies these customers as their best and would only qualify after spending significant money at the store previously. Base Reward Zone members, no spending requirements are needed, are entitled to $50 off any iPhone. Finally, if you sign up for the Reward Zone membership on or after February 22, you are entitled to just $10 off. Still, these are significant saving when you consider what is being offered.
