Amazon outdoes itself (and Samsung) to sell the Galaxy S26 at an enhanced $245 Prime Day discount
If you like your phones small, ultra-powerful, and relatively affordable, you'll probably be delighted by Amazon's improved Galaxy S26 Prime Day deal.

For an even more limited time than it initially seemed, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 powerhouse is discounted by $230 in its most affordable configuration in three color options and a whopping $245 if you prefer the costlier variant in a Cobalt Violet or Sky Blue hue.
Like Amazon's original Prime Day 2026 deal, the improved discounts are only good with Prime memberships, eclipsing the flat $200 you can still slash off the S26's regular prices in all models on Samsung's official US website. As you can imagine, I don't expect this special offer to get even better by the end of Amazon's big summer sales event on Friday, June 26, so it might be a good idea to hurry and pull the trigger before the e-commerce giant inevitably reduces the new discounts or runs out of Galaxy S26 inventory altogether.
Naturally, I don't recommend the "vanilla" S26 over its bigger brothers... unless, of course, you're strapped for cash or convinced a smaller screen can better satisfy your needs, but compared to other diminutive Android powerhouses on the market today, this thing looks pretty much unrivaled and impossible to turn down.

Just because it's small (at least by 2026 ultra-high-end standards), that doesn't mean the S26's display is bad. | Image by PhoneArena
Your number one alternative is probably Google's 6.3-inch Pixel 10, which actually starts at a lower price than the base Galaxy S26 after its latest hefty discount. But while the S26 packs a smaller battery than said rival, its razor-thin 7.2mm profile, 50 + 10 + 12MP triple rear-facing camera system, and especially the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC make it a better overall package than a slightly too chunky Google-made handset with a Tensor G5 chipset under its hood.
