This might seem like a very distant memory even for some hardcore Samsung fans while more casual followers of the mobile industry are probably not aware that it was ever a thing, but the world's number two smartphone vendor clearly had extremely high hopes for the first-of-a-kind Galaxy S25 Edge just a little over a year ago.

Evidently, the super-slim brother of the hugely popular Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra didn't live up to those expectations, although weirdly enough, the handset is (technically) not dead yet. Of course, I'd never recommend a purchase from Samsung's official US e-store at a list price of $1,099.99 and up, but if you can get the Snapdragon 8 Elite powerhouse for as little as $619.99, you should probably carefully weigh its advantages and flaws before deciding if it's the best Android phone for you today or not.

If you want a high-end Samsung phone with a bigger battery and don't mind a thicker profile, the Galaxy S25+ is also available at a hefty discount right now on Amazon.

Now, these massive discounts from regular prices of $1,099.99 and $1,299.99, respectively, will obviously not fix the S25 Edge's biggest problem, but I'm sure you can learn to live with mediocre battery life if you focus on the undeniably stunning design, powerful aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, excellent 200MP primary rear-facing camera, gorgeous 120Hz refresh rate-capable AMOLED screen, and stellar long-term software support.

It pretty much goes without saying that there aren't a lot of comparable phones you can get at a similar price right now, which is why I expect Woot's killer Galaxy S25 Edge promotion to go away long before its official August 1 expiration date.
