I have 4 reasons to blindly pick Motorola's Signature 27 over the Pixel 11 Pro, and one is impossible to ignore

In comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 scored 3,600 and 12,350 in the Geekbench 7 single- and multi-core testing done by our boss, Rad. It goes without saying that these results should not be taken as the definitive performance of the new chipset, but they certainly give an idea of how powerful the new product from Snapdragon is. The results make it crystal clear that the Tensor G6 is miles behind the latest Snapdragon processor in raw numbers.

Most likely, you will not notice much difference in the performance of both phones while performing regular tasks like browsing the internet or watching videos on YouTube; however, the performance difference would become easily noticeable while performing resource-demanding operations like gaming. Pixel phones often lag behind their competitors in gaming performance, and the above-mentioned raw numbers suggest that we won't see a change in that this year either.

Big battery and fast charging capability

The Motorola Signature 27 features a 6000 mAh battery that is capable of charging at up to 90 W. The Pixel 11 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 4850 mAh battery and supports 30 W wired and 25 W wireless charging. The phone from Motorola easily beats the Google flagship in the raw numbers.

However, it’s worth noting that we can’t simply come to a conclusion just by looking at the battery capacity, as processor efficiency also plays a major role in determining the exact runtime a smartphone will offer. We found that the Pixel 11 Pro offered 5 hours of screen time in real-life usage. The Motorola Signature 27 is yet to be released, so we can’t really say how good or bad it will perform in comparison to the Google phone.

But if you keep the larger battery and the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor in mind, I have high hopes that the Motorola flagship will easily turn out to be the winner in this category as well.

7 years of support update

One of the biggest edges Pixel phones had over Motorola devices is that the former offers 7 years of software updates, which is commendable compared to just 3–4 years of software support offered by the latter. But Google no longer has an advantage in this department, as Motorola’s Signature 27 has been promised 7 years of OS and security updates.

The only thing the company now needs to take care of is to release those updates in a timely manner. In case you are not aware, Motorola is often called out for releasing updates very late compared to other Android manufacturers.

Eagerly waiting for the price reveal

While we know pretty much everything about the Motorola Signature 27, its pricing is one thing that has yet to be revealed. However, the GrapheneOS team reportedly believes that it will be more expensive than the latest Google phones. For reference, the Pixel 11 Pro is priced at $1,099.

I, personally, believe that GrapheneOS support, a bigger battery, faster charging, and a powerful processor would totally justify its slightly higher price compared with the latest Pixel. Still, I'm genuinely interested to see how the phone performs, especially in the US market, where it will face competition not only from the Pixel 11 Pro but also from the Samsung Galaxy S26. That said, the device is expected to go live later this year.
