The OnePlus Pad 4 is officially the 'world's fastest tablet', and its battery is just as impressive
Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and equipped with a 13,380mAh battery, the OnePlus Pad 4 is set for a May 5 release in India.

Rumored to be preparing its exit from some of the biggest mobile tech markets out there, OnePlus is instead rising from the ashes like a mighty phoenix with a... largely forgettable new smartwatch, but also a heavyweight battery life champion in the Ace 6 Ultra handset, two epic looming additions to the Nord smartphone line (with outstanding battery capacity numbers of their own), and perhaps most notably, an upgraded iPad Pro rival for the ages.
Fully detailed today ahead of an actual May 5 release in India, the OnePlus Pad 4 shines with, you guessed it, its battery endurance, but also as far as processing power and charging speeds are concerned. Oh, and the profile of the gargantuan slate is almost unreal, coming incredibly close to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra's wasp waist.

Ready for some quick comparisons?
Let's begin with the boldest company claim designed to convince you to drop at least 60,000 rupees ($630) on the OnePlus Pad 4 starting next week. Is this the "world's fastest tablet"? Probably not because, well, the iPad Pro (2025) duo is a thing that uses the cutting-edge Apple M5 chipset.

That clears the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC in most popular benchmarks, so I believe what OnePlus meant to say is that this is the world's fastest Android tablet, trumping the likes of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus-powered Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, and of course, last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite-using OnePlus Pad 3.
Compared to the 14.6-inch Tab S11 Ultra, the OnePlus Pad 4 is somehow considerably smaller, slightly lighter, and yet powered by a substantially larger battery, which obviously shames the cell capacity of Apple's latest 13-inch iPad Pro as well, promising up to 20 hours of uninterrupted video playtime.
Is the OnePlus Pad 4 better than the iPad Pro (2025) and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra?
Because we all know how OnePlus operates, we probably shouldn't act surprised that the company's newest ultra-high-end tablet also blows its key rivals out of the water with blazing fast 80W charging while amazingly keeping its thickness under the 6mm mark. Granted, both the iPad Pro 13 (M5) and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are even thinner, but not by much. And the Dune Glow and Sage Mist paint jobs are a lot bolder and prettier than what Apple and Samsung would ever be willing to experiment with.
The OnePlus Pad 4 is not that affordable, but it's probably affordable enough
Because this is 2026 and because you're looking at an absolutely epic product with so many great strengths and convincing selling points (I almost forgot to highlight the ultra-powerful eight-speaker system, for instance), it doesn't exactly come as a shock that the latest jumbo-sized OnePlus flagship is costlier than the 2025-released OnePlus Pad 3.

Specifically, you will have to pay the aforementioned equivalent of $630 in India to get an entry-level configuration with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage or as much as Rs. 64,999 ($683) for a 512GB storage variant also packing an enhanced 12GB memory count.
That's up from the Rs. 49,999 ($525) and Rs. 54,999 ($578) list prices of the OnePlus Pad 3 in 12/256GB and 16/512GB variants, respectively, which make for fairly large differences, but perhaps not as large as you may have expected. After all, the OnePlus Pad 4 is significantly faster than its predecessor, and it incredibly comes with an even bigger battery squeezed into practically the same body (with a few grams shaved off the product weight rather than added on).
When should we expect a US release?
Unfortunately, the OnePlus Pad 4 is not yet confirmed for North American (or European) availability. But my gut tells me an official US release will take place... sooner or later, although I'm not particularly optimistic as far as regional pricing is concerned.

Because the OnePlus Pad 3 is normally available for $699.99 stateside, it's possible that the OnePlus Pad 4 will cost $799.99 (with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage). That would still be below the regular starting prices of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and 13-inch iPad Pro (2025), but it might make it hard for a brand typically associated with budget-friendly products to achieve decent local sales figures.
