One more brand has reportedly changed its plans because of the iPhone Fold
It appears Samsung is not the only company that feels it’s necessary to change its plans to fight with Apple.

Honor may challenge Apple and Samsung with a wide foldable
Honor may reshape its whole foldable lineup this year as an answer to the launch of the first foldable iPhone. According to a leak from China cited by Huawei Central, the company won’t launch any small foldables this year, and it will focus on releasing a wide foldable.
A new foldable trend

If the rumor is true, Honor may join a growing trend in the foldable segment. Recent rumors about the iPhone Fold claim that Apple will aim for a device with a wider screen, which would be different from all the leading foldables on the market. Samsung’s rumored Galaxy Z Wide Fold and Oppo’s Find N7 may also compete with a wider form factor.
What is the foldable form factor you like the most?
Of course, all that’s still a rumor. None of the companies have confirmed those devices exist. Honor has already confirmed it will launch the Magic V6 just before the start of the MWC 2026 trade show, but it hasn’t talked about its upcoming foldable devices.
The great refresh
Considering that Honor was the company that pushed the thin foldable trend over the last few years, I’m more than curious to see how it responds to Apple joining this market. I’d love to see the company launching a strong competitor to the iPhone Fold in as many markets as possible, as that would make the whole segment so much more interesting.
