The leaked specs of the new budget Nothing phone look impressive.

Nothing has released some really great phones since its inception, with the Nothing Phone 3 being my personal favorite. The company is now all set to add another device to its portfolio, named the Nothing Phone (4b). While we're still days away from its July 7 launch date, a reliable tipster has already shared most of its specifications online.

Leaked details of the Nothing Phone (4b)

The Nothing Phone (4b) will be the next major release from the brand. Most of its details have been shared online by trusted leakster Yogesh Brar. Let's start with the display: the phone is reportedly going to feature a 6.7" 120 Hz AMOLED screen.

The tipster claims that Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 is going to power the phone, and you'll get two storage options: 8 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB. One of the rear cameras is going to be a 50 MP shooter, according to Brar.

The battery could be 5400 mAh, which is a decent number for a mid-range device. Lastly, the mobile could be available in three color options; the exact color names haven't been shared. However, another reliable name, Debayan Roy, recently made a post on X claiming that the Nothing Phone (4b) would launch in black, white, and blue finishes.

The design of the phone is no longer a mystery

While some of the internal specifications of the Nothing Phone (4b) have been shared by a leaker, the company itself posted the exact look of the device recently. Nothing shared a video on X yesterday revealing its design, which has always been one of the main selling factors of Nothing phones. At the back, you get a dual camera setup, one of which is going to be a 50 MP sensor, as per Yogesh Brar.

There's definitely the Glyph Lighting bar, which is placed vertically in the right corner of a very thin camera plateau that you get at the back. The bar appears similar to what you get in the Nothing Phone 4a. The design of the phone also reveals that there's going to be a small, pill-shaped module between the Glyph Lighting bar and the dual camera setup.

It appears to feature two elements, with one being the flash and the other appearing to be some kind of sensor. It could also be possible that it's just a visual element that's been added to give a more aesthetic touch to the device. Other than this, the phone also has the signature Nothing design of screws being visible at the back panel.

It looks like a good entry-level device

The leaked specifications of the Nothing Phone (4b) suggest that it's going to be an excellent entry-level phone. The use of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, a 120 Hz screen, and a 5400 mAh battery makes me believe that the device will offer good everyday performance and will be able to run for an entire day on a single charge. However, users seem not to be very impressed with the design of the phone.

Many believe it resembles CMF more than it does a Nothing phone, and that is actually sort of true. You see, the brand was initially looking to build the CMF Phone 3 but dropped the plan because of the rising memory prices.

So, there's a high possibility that the Nothing Phone (4b) could actually be the rebranded version of the cancelled CMF Phone 3. That said, the phone will most likely compete against products like the Motorola Edge 70 series, the OnePlus Nord CE phones, and Samsung's upcoming Galaxy M47.

If you were shopping for a budget phone today, which series would you choose first?

Nothing needs to take care of the price

I, personally, liked the design of the Nothing Phone (4b). It looks like a perfect mix of a Nothing phone and a CMF phone. As mentioned above, the features also look impressive for a budget device.

The only thing I'm eager to see is whether the surging memory prices affect the pricing of the Nothing Phone (4b). It is rumored to be ₹30,000 INR, which is roughly $317 on direct conversion. Exact details about the pricing and specifications will be shared on July 7, when the phone is scheduled to launch.
