The Moto G87 is set to come with a fairly generic design and a totally not-generic 200MP primary camera. | Image by Evan Blass
While the identities (and detailed specs) of the three foldable devices Motorola undoubtedly plans to officially unveil later today are clearly no secret, I'm starting to wonder if the company might have the intention to announce even more products this week.
The Moto G87 will (theoretically) match the Galaxy S26 Ultra in one key department
Before you start spewing hate in my direction in the comments section below, allow me to highlight that I obviously don't expect some random mid-range Moto handset with a presumably affordable price point to actually rival the real-world camera performance of Samsung's latest and greatest super-flagship.

But if the Moto G87 does have a 200MP primary snapper slapped on its back (and it certainly looks that way in today's "ev-leaked" images), we all know Motorola fans and possibly even Motorola itself will use that number as key ammunition against the world's largest Android smartphone vendor.

And while megapixel counts are not everything, this is clearly a major upgrade over the main 50MP rear-facing camera of last year's Moto G86, and if the rest of the specs are similarly impressive, we might be looking at a top contender for the title of best budget 5G phone in the world this year.
What else should you expect from the Moto G87?
The next addition to the already expansive Moto G lineup doesn't look much different from many existing members of that family at first glance, rocking rounded corners, razor-thin screen bezels, eye-catching textures at the back, and two color options likely to be branded Pantone Overture Gray and Pantone Blue Atoll.
Will a 200MP camera convince you to buy a Motorola mid-ranger this year?
That latter part is based on a leak from last week (which obviously fits these new pictures), and said report also revealed that the Moto G87 is set to pack 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in a European variant priced at around €400 ($468).
That would be a bit higher than the Moto G86's starting price on the old continent back in the summer of 2025, which makes sense given the adoption of a 200MP camera... and 2026's industry-wide hikes as far as both new and old phones are concerned.
Just in case the Motorola Signature wasn't attractive enough...
It appears that the ultra-high-end 6.8-inch giant will soon come in a third and considerably prettier paint job than Pantone Carbon and Martini Olive.

This is called House of Moto Indigo (now that's a fancy name), and it was actually originally announced last month as Motorola's "new global brand color, co-created with Pantone" to "express the brand's evolution into a true lifestyle tech leader."
Somewhat bizarrely, the smartphone maker did not reveal at that time what products will be coated in "House of Moto Indigo" and when they're supposed to come out, but evidently, this dazzling new Motorola Signature model leaked today with little crystals across its back is right around the corner.
But wait, there's more
More new Motorola products (or rather, new editions of existing products) leaked ahead of a possible announcement in just a few hours... or at some point later this year.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus in House of Moto Indigo will definitely go nicely with that future Signature model depicted above. | Image by Evan Blass
The second "House of Moto Indigo" product seems to be the Moto Buds 2 Plus, which are Motorola's best in-house true wireless earbuds to date. Unveiled at the 2026 Mobile World Congress in early March in Pantone Cool White and Pantone Silhouette color options, these noise-canceling bad boys with state-of-the-art Bose sound are unfortunately not available in the US... just like the Motorola Signature.
What's even worse is that I don't expect any of the three freshly leaked Motorola products to ever land stateside, which must be incredibly painful for US-based mobile users with, well, eyes and a developed sense of style.
