We may have a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra this year, which is the baddest, most powerful foldable phone Samsung has ever introduced, but I believe that the regular Galaxy Z Fold 8 stole the show. Not because it’s better than the Ultra model or anything, but because it introduced a new passport-like form factor, which made the whole tech community excited for foldable phones again.

If you too want to experience that new form factor, all while scoring a premium phone with top-tier specs, I suggest checking out Samsung’s deal on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 at the official online store.

While the phone is available at its usual price of $1,899.99—an eye-watering sum, I know—you can actually snatch it for up to $1,000 off if you trade in an eligible device. That means you can score this handsome fella for as low as $899.99, which is a steal given everything it brings to the table.

If you don’t have an old phone to trade in, you can actually score $200 in Samsung credit, which you can put toward an accessory or another device. Just select “No” in the trade-in section and proceed to checkout, and you’ll see a selection of recommended devices that you can put these $200 toward to complete your ecosystem.

Personally, I would definitely trade in my old smartphone to save on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, but even if you opt for the Samsung credit, you should know you’re scoring a ton of value with this deal.

Sammy’s latest foldable is exactly what you’d expect it to be. The new form factor makes it easier to carry around and lets you reach the top of the display without stretching. A downside we noticed during our Galaxy Z Fold 8 review, though, is that you need to stretch your hand slightly more to hold the wider cover screen when the phone is folded. But that’s something you get used to, plus it’s nitpicking, really.

I should also mention that the phone doesn’t support Samsung’s S Pen due to the titanium support under the display. While I don’t think this will be a huge deal for most people, as most would prefer a sturdier feel and less flex, it’s something worth noting, especially if you like using your phone with a stylus.

As for internal hardware and specs, you get the latest and greatest SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and up to 16GB of RAM, depending on which configuration you go for. This means you get an absolute powerhouse ready to tackle anything you throw its way.

Both the cover screen and the inner display are gorgeous AMOLED panels that offer exceptional visuals whether you’re watching a movie, streaming a video on YouTube, or scrolling reels on Insta.

The camera performance is also pretty great. While it lacks the Ultra’s 200MP main snapper and 10MP telephoto lens, it comes equipped with a 50MP main unit and another 50MP ultrawide camera. Both take beautiful photos with Sammy’s signature saturated colors, so I think you’ll like how your cityscape pictures turn out.

All of these bells and whistles must strain the battery, so you’re likely curious how it performs. Well, the 4,800mAh cell on deck won’t wow you with insane battery life, but it still delivers seven hours and 44 minutes of video streaming or 17 hours and nine minutes of web browsing on a single charge.

These are respectable numbers, and you shouldn't have to reach for a charger midday with regular use. But even if you need to, the 45W charging on board needs just one hour and 12 minutes to bring the battery back to 100%.

The bottom line is that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is an exceptional phone worthy of your hard-earned cash, especially if you can get it with a juicy trade-in discount. Don’t waste any more time—hop to Samsung.com via one of the deal buttons in this article and snatch your fancy new foldable today!
