Galaxy S27 series rumored to get feature once exclusive to Pixel handsets
A cool feature that might save you from taking a financial hit is expected to be included in the Galaxy S27 series.

Scam Detection, once a Pixel exclusive, was added to the Galaxy S26 series this year. The feature is also found on Sammy's fresh new Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
If you're not familiar with Scam Detection, it uses AI to spot conversational patterns that are usually used by scammers. This would include an urgent request to transfer funds or a demand for personal information from a caller.
What is Scam Detection on Pixel and Galaxy phones?
To make sure that you don't miss the warning, Scam Detection will notify the user with audio, visual, and haptic alerts. Pixel models with Scam Detection include the Pixel 6 and later.
On those phones, and on the aforementioned Samsung models with Scam Detection, all of the processing and AI computations are done on-device, avoiding the cloud and making the feature safer.
Android Authority was able to find some interesting clues about Scam Detection in One UI 9 Beta 7 for the Galaxy S26 line. This code reveals which upcoming and past Galaxy phones will be getting Scam Detection. It's probably not a shocker to say that it will be found on all four Galaxy S27 models including the Galaxy S27 Pro. This is the rumored Ultra-like model that comes sans an S Pen and a slightly smaller design.
Samsung hopes to use a larger battery to power the Galaxy S27 Pro
Without the internal components needed for the S Pen, Samsung hopes to pack the Galaxy S27 Pro with larger batteries. It is expected to feature a 200MP camera and a Privacy Display. But we digress.

Besides including Scam Detection with the Galaxy S27 line, Samsung plans on backporting it to older models. So based on the clues discovered by Android Authority, the Galaxy phones expected to get Scam detection include:

Earlier this month we passed along a report that indicated that Google is looking to add Scam Detection to outgoing calls. Whether this will be a Pixel exclusive or a feature eventually added to the compatible Samsung Galaxy models with Scam Detection is unknown.
Based on small pieces of code discovered by Android Authority that mentioned "s5e9975," and "qcom," it looks as though the Galaxy S27 will continue the dual-sourcing strategy for processors that Samsung has used for a while with its flagship series.
The Galaxy S27 line will continue to use dual-sourcing
The s5e9975 is believed to refer to the Exynos 2700 application processor (AP) designed and built by Samsung on its foundry's 2nm process node. The qcom reference is easier to decipher as that happens to be Qualcomm's stock symbol. This means that Samsung plans to use the Exynos 2700 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro AP for its flagship line next year.
If Samsung continues to stick with its typical dual-source strategy, US and North America Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra users will have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro powering their phones. In Europe and the UK, Asia (including India and South Korea), Australia, Africa, and Latin America, the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Pro will be powered by the Exynos 2700 AP and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro AP will drive the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

During January or February, we should see Samsung hold an Unpacked event to introduce the Galaxy S27 flagship line with an eventual first quarter release. We could see a new design for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. There have been conflicting reports about the rear camera module as Samsung reportedly seeks to add room for Qi2 wireless charging magnets to the back of the phone.
