The Galaxy S27 Ultra controversial redesign has been polarizing the internet in the past couple of days. Now, a new leak details another subtle design change, but this time around, it's good news. It seems that the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be a tad more comfortable to hold in the hand compared to its predecessor.

The leak comes from Ice Universe, a prolific tipster when it comes to smartphone rumors. Ice Universe posted on X a simple graphic of the Galaxy S27 Ultra next to the S26 Ultra. The graphic reveals that the new model will have a rounder frame with deeper bevels compared to its predecessor.
As you can see in the image above, the change is quite subtle, and the tipster also points out that the design change is rather small. However, even a small change in a smartphone bezel could result in a noticeable difference when you hold the device in your hand.

Ever since the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung has been tweaking the radius of the frame, making it softer and rounder. The Galaxy S24 Ultra was a pretty square device when it comes to corners and edges, and the next two phones featured slightly rounder edges and corners.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra is taking this a notch further, featuring not only rounder corners but also a deeper bezel on both sides of the frame.

Users on Reddit are comparing the design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra to a "Chinese budget phone" and questioning the design choice being derivative following Apple's camera plateau change in the iPhone 17 series.
Galaxy S27 Ultra expected specs and features
Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to be officially unveiled late January or early February next year during Samsung's biannual Unpacked event.
The phone will most likely feature Qualcomm's yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, built on a 2 nm TSMC node. The phone will run Android 17 out of the box with One UI 9.5 on top and possibly feature a bigger battery.
