Coros has a super-affordable Apple Watch Ultra 4 alternative you definitely want to consider
The brand-new Coros Pace 4 Pro is somehow priced at only $449 in the US with a gorgeous screen, stellar battery life, and all the running features you could ever need.

If you're starting to get serious about your running or you're thinking of preparing for your first-ever triathlon but don't want to splash the cash on something like the brand-new Apple Watch Ultra 4, Garmin Fenix 9, or Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, it might be a good idea to look at the Coros Pace 4 Pro as well.
In case you're not very familiar with Coros, this is a company that's been making aggressively priced and feature-packed sports watches for nearly a decade now, and after impressing two different PhoneArena reviewers with two different Garmin alternatives in the last year alone, the China-based outfit is today releasing probably its best product to date (at least from an apparent bang-for-buck standpoint).

But wait, there's more
Many more features and capabilities to get excited about, that is, and the simple reason they're not listed above is because I didn't want to lose your attention with an interminable list. But the Training Load, VO2 Max, Running Fitness, Route Builder, and Pace Strategy tools clearly deserve (at least) a quick mention, giving both professional and casual runners pretty much everything they need to turn their backs on the likes of the Garmin Fenix 9 family or the Forerunner 970.

Of course, the Coros Pace 4 Pro can do a lot more than just monitor your runs (or swims, or cycling sessions), also paying very close attention to your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, ECG, temperature, and general wellness throughout the day, as well as your sleep quality and overnight heart rate variability.
Some of the best things about the latest Coros powerhouse, however, are the unexpectedly large, sharp, and bright AMOLED panel and the battery life that caps off at an incredible three weeks between charges. Naturally, that number goes way down if you keep the GPS connectivity enabled at all times, but even in that case, you're promised up to 60 hours of endurance, which is more than what many of the best smartwatches around can deliver.

Oh, and have I mentioned that the Coros Pace 4 Pro is both thinner and lighter than the Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Garmin Fenix 9?
The price tag might be the biggest strength
$449. That's how much (or rather how little) the Coros Pace 4 Pro costs in the US starting today. In contrast, an Apple Watch Ultra 4 sets you back a whopping $799, the most affordable Fenix 9 variant is $999.99, and even the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 goes for $699.99 (frequent Samsung promotions notwithstanding).
Now, it is important to point out that your 450 bucks will not buy you 4G LTE, 5G, or built-in satellite connectivity. There are also a few other areas in which this unexpectedly affordable new intelligent timepiece is unlikely to keep up with the greatest outdoor-friendly smartwatches in the world, including ruggedness.
But all in all, I remain pleasantly surprised by the 11.8mm profile, ultra-bright 1.47-inch AMOLED display, tons of sensors, tons of advanced training features, stellar battery life, handy Action Button (or Key), and especially the $449 list price of the Coros Pace 4 Pro, and I can't wait for our resident PhoneArena testers to get their hands on the new wearable and compare it against the industry's running-focused heavyweights.
