Huawei is out to get Apple and Samsung with its latest smartwatch lineup. Exactly a year after introducing its pressure-sensing X-TAP hardware, the company is back with an update, the Huawei Watch 6 series.
This premium all-rounder comes in two flavors, standard and Pro, bringing premium materials such as stainless steel, ceramic, and titanium.

Huawei has revamped the design of the Watch 6 series, and now it features a brand-new symmetrical wing language. The standard lineup offers a lightweight 42 mm aluminum model and a stainless steel 46 mm version.
The higher-tier Watch 6 Pro comes with luxury materials such as ceramic and sapphire crystal. The 46 mm variant uses titanium alloy, and there's also a 43 mm nano-tech ceramic edition, with 18K gold inserts.
All models feature a bright and sharp 3,500-nit AMOLED display covered by sapphire glass crystal, that's almost unscratchable.

Huawei has upgraded its proprietary Multi-Sensing X-TAP module, doubling its tactile pressure sensitivity from 10 to 20 discrete levels while expanding the underlying PPG optical array from 4 channels to 12.

This hardware upgrade allows the Watch 6 to capture fainter pulse wave signals, run cardiovascular risk assessments, and improve overall health monitoring capabilities. If all this seems too complicated, there's an updated one-tap Health Glance feature.
It scans 14 key physiological metrics in just 60 seconds and gives you a snapshot of your health status.
The Huawei Watch 6 series also features hypertension, diabetes, and coronary risk assessments, based on medical studies developed in partnership with Peking Union Medical College Hospital, United Arab Emirates, and Dubai Health.
AI workout insights and standalone outdoor navigation

Huawei has also boosted the fitness tracking capabilities of the Watch 6. The device can track over 100 sports and activities and comes with cool metrics such as native virtual power calculations for cyclists.
The watch can generate post-workout reports with deep insights into your performance and progress thanks to the AI algorithms baked inside the watch.
After each workout, users can click the “AI Analysis” button to access a comprehensive report featuring three layers: Overall Performance, Key Performance Analysis, and Comprehensive Recommendations.
For hardcore hikers and trail runners, the Watch 6 Pro inherits Huawei’s Expedition App, bringing full offline color maps, custom waypoint logging, magnetic compass tools, and track-back routing straight to the wrist.
eSIM support and dual-phone connectivity

The Huawei Watch number series has always offered cellular connectivity. The Watch 6 is no exception. There's eSIM support, and the watch can simultaneously connect to two smartphones, both in the Android and iOS ecosystems.
The watch also debuts hands-free gesture controls — like a quick 90-degree wrist flip to mute incoming calls or a double-pinch gesture to confirm actions — making the device easier to operate when your hands are full.
The Huawei Watch 6 series will be available in the UK from 23 September 2026, with the standard version available from £399.99 and the Pro starting at £599.99.
