Update to Windows Phone Tango ready for AT&T's Nokia Lumia 900?
A leaked screenshot shows that the Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh update is ready to be rolled out to the AT&T version of the Nokia Lumia 900. The model is the flagship smartphone for Microsoft's mobile OS and the update will bring some new features to the device such as 'flip to silence', multiple messages and audio file support for MMS mesagging. Along with the usual bug fixes, the update will allow AT&T users of the phone to install exclusive Nokia apps like 'Counters' and 'Contact Share'.

Just because the update is on Nokia's servers and is all ready to be sent out doesn't mean it will soon make its way to the Nokia Lumia 900. We could see the update officially released at any time. Once this firmware update does start appearing on U.S. models of the phone, the next update afterward will be the last big one for the device. That would be Windows Phone 7.8 which will allow updated models to have the same new start screen with larger tiles that Windows Phone 8 handsets will have, but the similarities between Windows Phone 7.8 and Windows Phone 8 end right there. As we've said countless times, existing Windows Phone handsets will not be getting updated to Windows Phone 8.
