Yesterday, The Mobile Report claimed that T-Mobile may soon let customers pick a free perk from a lineup of digital, audio, gaming, and AI subscriptions. The outlet now reports those add-ons may be revealed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23.
Apparently, there's a lot of commotion within T-Mobile regarding this announcement, with the carrier reportedly giving employees extra breaks every day this week. That kind of internal buzz often foretells a new plan, though there's no concrete indication of that. Besides, employees are usually offered overtime before new plans are announced, which isn't happening this time around.

What's more likely is that T-Mobile will announce a new perk system tied exclusively to its newer 2.0 plans. Those plans feature a 36-month financing window, compared to the 24-month term on older plans.
The new perks could compel customers on legacy plans to switch to 2.0, allowing T-Mobile to retain customers for longer.

While T-Mobile remains cheaper than AT&T and Verizon, most of its new customers are opting for premium tiers. With its network lead expanding, the carrier no longer needs rock-bottom prices to win people over.
