Unlocked SIM-free Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus come to the states tomorrow
A report published on Monday says that starting tomorrow, Apple will start offering an unlocked, SIM-free version of the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus in the U.S. The unlocked units will be available from the online Apple Store and brick and mortar Apple Store locations. Apple will sell the phones for the same price it charges for the unlocked T-Mobile version of the phones. That means that the unlocked iPhone 6 will cost $649 (16GB), $749 (64GB) or $849 (128GB) and the iPhone 6 Plus will be priced at $749 (16GB), $849 (64GB) and $949 (128GB).

Those purchasing the unlocked version of the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus will have to use their own nano SIM card for the phone to work. And with the ability to swap out SIM cards, users won't be locked into one particular carrier.

Apple is running a little late this year in releasing the unlocked version of its current iPhone model. The last few iPhone models were released in November of the year they were originally launched, including the Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 5 and Apple iPhone 4s.
