The original Samsung Galaxy A8 expected to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update soon

1comment

The first Galaxy A8 made its debut on the market back in 2015. In the meantime, Samsung launched one more Galaxy A8 model last year, but it's unclear if there will ever be another one launched in 2017.

The original Samsung Galaxy A8 came with Android 5.0 Lollipop on board, but the South Korean company has already released a Marshmallow update last year. Since the smartphone was launched two years ago, it was highly unlikely that the Galaxy A8 would receive further Android OS updates.

However, because the Galaxy A8 running Android 7.0 Nougat has been recently listed at Wi-Fi Alliance, there's a high chance Samsung plans to offer one last major update to those who purchased the smartphone.

Although there's no guarantee that the original Galaxy A8 will indeed be getting Android 7.0 Nougat at some point in the future, at least there's hope that will happen. Usually, when a Samsung phone is listed at Wi-Fi Alliance running a new version of Android, it eventually gets updated after a while.
