The Samsung Galaxy Note5 will not be available in Europe this year
The now-official Samsung's Galaxy Note5 may be hitting the United States over the next few weeks, but those in Europe looking to get their paws on the device may be subject to quite a lengthy wait. Apparently, Samsung wants to focus on selling the Galaxy S6 edge+ in those regions. Thus, as well as being absent from stores in the U.K., those in other European markets will miss out on the brand-new Note, too.

The Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ are near enough identical in terms of tech. specs, with the main differentiator being the edginess of the edge+, and the Note5's S Pen. This means that consumers in Europe will be getting a bigger, stronger version of what's already available in the original Galaxy S6 edge, but miss out on the Note5 along with its new-and-improved stylus.

Supposedly, the decision to focus on the S6 edge+ in certain locations outside of the States is purely a strategic one. But if you're among the presumably many inside Europe that hoped to score a Note5 over the next couple of weeks, you'll no doubt be dismayed by this latest update.

Details are still emerging, and it remains to be seen when the device will arrive in Europe -- if, indeed, at all.
