T-Mobile's Apple iPad Air 2 pre-orders reportedly limited to 16GB model

T-Mobile's Apple iPad Air 2 pre-orders reportedly limited to 16GB model
On Tuesday, we told you that T-Mobile's pre-order period for the new Apple iPad Air 2 and Apple iPad mini 3 was starting today. But a leaked internal memo reveals that T-Mobile reps are being informed that only select variants of the iPad Air 2 will be available for pre-order Wednesday. According to the memo, only the 16GB version of the 9.7 inch slate can be reserved by T-Mobile customers for the time being.

The colors available are Silver, Space Gray and  Gold. The 16GB iPad Air 2 can be pre-ordered for $0 down with 24 monthly installments of $26.24. That works out to a figure just shy of $630. T-Mobile says that as soon as it can announce a release date for the 64GB and 128GB models of the Apple iPad Air 2, the carrier will announce it. Meanwhile, there are no restrictions when it comes to pre-orders of all versions of the Apple iPad mini 3. T-Mobile expects to start shipping both new iPads on October 29th.

In addition, another memo indicates that while the special Universal Apple SIM card will be included with the new iPad models, they will be locked to T-Mobile as far as service options are concerned.
