T-Mobile suspends sales of the new, "safe" Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Mere hours after AT&T announced that it would stop all sales of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, T-Mobile is now saying the same thing: the magenta carrier "is temporarily suspending all sales of the new Note 7 and exchanges for replacement Note 7 devices." The two carriers' announcements come after several new Galaxy Note 7 units - which were supposed to be safe following Samsung's initial Note 7 recall - caught fire in various places around the world.

According to T-Mobile, customers can bring any Galaxy Note 7, new or old, to its stores in order to receive a full refund and choose any other smartphone currently in stock. Folks who got a Note 7 during the original pre-order period can keep the gifts they received from T-Mobile (free 1-year Netflix subscription, plus a Gear Fit 2 or a 256 GB memory card).

As things stand right now, we assume that Verizon and Sprint will also stop selling the new Galaxy Note 7.

All in all, things are just not working out for Samsung when it comes to the Galaxy Note 7. The company could soon make a new announcement about the handset and this very unfortunate situation.
