The likes of Samsung, Huawei, and Apple all choose to upgrade their flagship smartphones once per year. But when it comes to Sony, a new flagship model appears every six months. And today, after its design was revealed last week, the spec sheet of the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ4 has leaked out online.

As expected from most 2019 flagships, the Xperia XZ4 will arrive powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 855. This chip won’t be unveiled until later on today but a premature posting revealed that it will be manufactured on the 7nm processor. It can also be combined with the Snapdragon X50 modem for 5G network support.

In regards to other details, the smartphone will reportedly come equipped with 6GB of RAM. This will then be combined with either 64GB or 256GB of internal storage depending on the model purchased. Furthermore, much like the Xperia XZ3 the upcoming Xperia XZ4 will arrive with Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. The flagship is also said to include a respectable 3,900mAh battery.

On the external side of things, Sony looks set to swap out the Xperia XZ3's 18:9 5.8-inch curved edge AMOLED display for a significantly taller 21:9 flat panel that sits at 6.55-inches in size. According to the information, this will be manufactured by LG.

Although Sony hasn’t yet confirmed the existence of the Xperia XZ4, the smartphone will most likely make its debut in late February at MWC, just like previous-generation Sony flagships.
