Poll results: bigger is better, more of our readers vote for the Pixel XL
So, Google's Pixel smartphones are almost here — in fact, some lucky owners have already received their pre-ordered units, despite the official shipping date being on the 20th. As you probably know, Google mirrored the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P idea of having a regular-sized and phablet-sized phone and produced a regular, 5-inch screen Pixel, and a phablet-sized, 5.5-inch Pixel XL.

Android users are famously split into two categories when it comes to two screen sizes — some are irked by the fact that there are very few high-tier smartphones that have small-ish and manageable displays; others are happy to have gargantuan displays on them at all times, either for ease of viewing when in the Web, or for games and video-consumption.

So, the two Pixels should somewhat cover the needs of both groups. But we thought we'd ask our audience — which size fits you better? Here's how the votes tallied up!

Which are you getting: Pixel or Pixel XL?

Bigger is better to a point. 5" too small 5.5" bit to big personally 5.1" to 5.2" is the ideal screen size for a smart phone.

I have regular hands, and 5.7 is perfect (assuming no huge bezels).

I have looked at several reviews of these phones and I cannot see any good reason to buy them other than being an early adopter of Android 7. These phones are UGLY. They have no significant new features worth their price. At most the XL should be $500.

5 - 5.1 is preferred to me. Although I actually enjoyed the Nexus 6P the time I had it but I knew it would be annoying after awhile since I carry two phones on me 5 or more days a week.

I know I'm not alone in wanting a pixel mini.. 4.3" is the most useful size, anything bigger and you should be using your TV.

I could never go back to such a small screen. The 5.5 inch screen I've got now isn't big enough.

If she say bigger is better, bigger is better. Can't argue with that.
