OnePlus pushes new OxygenOS beta update to the OnePlus 3 and 3T

Shortly after the HydrogenOS-powered OnePlus 3 and 3T received a beta update, the Chinese company released a similar update for those who rock its OxygenOS flagships.

If you've been previously flashed an OxygenOS beta update on your OnePlus 3 or 3T smartphone, then you can do it again. Open beta 7 for the OnePlus 3T, and 16 for the OnePlus 3 are now being pushed OTA to all compatible devices.

No new features are included in these update, but there are a couple of things it aims to fix like the alarm clock that sometimes is not ringing and certain app crashes.

Also, the beta update addresses a bug that would duplicate Contacts after upgrading, as well as the search function. Some display issues with Dark and Light themes should be corrected, too.

OnePlus announced that there's a new application installed on both of its smartphones, which allows users to send feedback quick and easier. If you haven't noticed it yet, you can go ahead and open up the “User Feedback” app, which can be found near the bottom of the app list.

Lastly, the Chinese company made some under the hood adjustments, which should further optimize power consumption. Keep in mind that you'll be forced to flash this update if you're not running a beta build on your phone. Otherwise, this update will arrive OTA on all OxygenOS-enabled OnePlus 3 and 3T devices.
