Upcoming OnePlus 5/5T update to add Google Lens and camera improvements
After confirming that its last year flagships will get Project Treble support, OnePlus is now adding another interesting new feature to both handsets: Google Lens. The latest OxygenOS open beta build brings Google Lens support and a couple of camera improvements.

If you're running an OxygenOS beta build on the OnePlus 5 or 5T, you'll be receiving this update OTA (over-the-air), so you won't have to do anything special. Otherwise, you'll have to flash this build using the instructions provided by OnePlus (check source link).

Apart from adding Google Lens support, this update should also bring improved photo clarity and optimizations, which are meant to reduce the oil painting effect (or entirely prevent it).

The changes, along with others that OnePlus had been testing on the 5 and 5T smartphones, are expected to be implemented in a future update. This is just to let you know what to expect from OnePlus in the coming weeks if you're using the OnePlus 5/5T as your daily driver.
