Nokia pays $129 million to re-brand two handsets
According to Korea Exchange filing, the U.S. unit of Pantech would supply two handsets to Nokia by December 2006. The devices will be camera phones and CDMA handsets with EV-DO high speed data technology.
Up until now, the FCC has approved three Pantech devices with Nokia branding and the contact is probably about two of them. Those are the 6305i which got FCC's OK back in December 2005. The main specs of the phone are EV-DO and 1.3 mega pixel camera. The second is the 6315i which is also EV-DO capable and features WAP 2.0, 262k color display and mega pixel camera. The third device is the 6215i, a lower end 1xRTT phone with VGA camera.
