Meizu MX4 available for international orders starting at $449, shipping and taxes included

Earlier this month, Meizu announced its newest flagship smartphone - the MX4 - without providing details on its international availability. Fortunately, we now know that Meizu allows customers almost everywhere in the world to pre-order the handset, which should start shipping later this month.

The Meizu MX4 16 GB costs $449, while the Meizu MX4 32 GB can be yours for $489 (both are offered unlocked). The 64 GB version of the handset can’t be ordered for now. According to Meizu, these prices include shipping and import taxes in “certain markets” in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. That's why they're considerably higher than the smartphone's prices available in China.

The MX4 is 8.9mm-thin, and runs Flyme OS 4 (which is based on Android 4.4 KitKat). The handset sports a pretty large 5.36-inch display with an unusual 1152 x 1920 pixel resolution and a 418 ppi density. Other features include a 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony IMX220 Exmor RS sensor, 2 MP front-facing camera, octa-core MediaTek MT6595 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a 3100 mAh battery.

Anyone interested in buying Meizu's latest flagship?
