Back in February, we got the first information and image on the KS20. Still not officially announced, the thin smartphone reminded us of the popular Prada phone due to the small amount of keys and the glossy-black finish. This meant that the fashionable phone will be available in feature-rich variant, which the KS20 definitely is. Windows Mobile 6 Professional device, it operates in tri-band GSM networks and high-speed data is delivered through 3G (HSDPA) or from local wireless networks, as WiFi (Wireless LAN) is supported. The multimedia doesn’t suffer compared to the Prada, with microSD slot for memory and FM radio. The drawback is the smaller display (2.8 inch QVGA instead of the 3” of the Prada) but the camera is kept with the same 2-megapixel resolution. This is not as good as the 5-megapixels of the Viewty, but we should not that the latter isn’t a smartphone, and one cannot really have all the goods in one device.

From the official press-image we can see that LG will customize the interface of the OS to remind of its other phones with Touch-screens. On the bottom of the Homescreen there are four large B&W shortcuts just as it was with the Prada. We still have no information if other parts of the interface will be changed, but we guess that LG has made some other personalizations, just as HTC did with the TouchFlo.

Aving claims that LG will announce the KS20 at the upcoming IFA 2007 show and has live images of the phone, presented by models. The Vodafone branding hints that the carrier will offer it in Europe, but once it is on the market it should also also be available sim-free. This should be in the fourth quarter of the year.
