Boost Mobile raising their brand awareness with a Super Bowl commercial
Some people across the country may still not recognize who or what Boost Mobile is all about, but they’re sure to get their name out there thanks to a secured spot during the Super Bowl. The prepaid wireless carrier has made some headlines over the past year during a period of economic uncertainty – where most companies saw profits and sales decreased. According to the Wall Street Journal, Sprint has managed to secure some of the 1985 Chicago Bears players which includes Jim McMahon, Willie Gault, and Mike Singletary to recreate their famous “Super Bowl Shuffle” rap song and video. It’s speculated that Sprint bought the 30 second commercial spot for around $2.5 million and $2.9 million – so that Boost Mobile’s brand will be recognized during a time when families converge in their living rooms for one of the biggest sporting events. There’s no denying what kind of impact Boost Mobile has managed to provide Sprint’s bottom line last year – what better way to spread the awareness of the brand by giving them a commercial spot during the Super Bowl.
