Ming-Chi Kuo expects the Apple iPhone 7s, 7s Plus and premium Apple iPhone 8 for 2017

Ming-Chi Kuo expects the Apple iPhone 7s, 7s Plus and premium Apple iPhone 8 for 2017
Earlier this month, KGI Securities superstar Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple is going to release three iPhone models next year, including a premium priced 5.8-inch Apple iPhone 8 that will pack an OLED screen and contain all the bells and whistles expected of a device commemorating a decade of the Apple iPhone. The iPhone 8 will have an active touchscreen area measuring 5.1 to 5.2-inches and Barclay's analyst says it will be bezel-less.

Kuo now believes that Apple will keep the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus names on the 2017 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models respectively. Both of those units will continue to sport LCD screens. They both should be powered by the A11 chipset and all three units will feature an all-glass casing. This will allow the three new iPhone models to offer wireless charging at faster speeds. Metal casings tend to slow down the technology. Kuo also says that Foxconn will have its hands full with the OLED screen on the iPhone 8, leaving Pegatron to handle the wireless charging.

It isn't clear yet if Apple will support wireless charging on all three of next year's models. Ming-Chi sees some iPhone units coming with wireless charging capabilities next year, with wider support expected for 2018.

It will probably be 7s, 7s plus, and 7s pro not iphone 8.

They will call one of them the iPhone 8, that's my guess anyway. It has been a rumor for far to long that next year's iPhone would be the iPhone 8 for Apple not to at least call one of them the iPhone 8.

Anyone who bought an iPhone 7 this year probably feels like an idiot when they consider how good next year's iPhones sound.

Why? My wife and I are getting $54.16 credits for 24 months on our bill. The cost of (2) 7 Plus 256GB costs us less than $144 a month including taxes for phone and data plans rather than $196 a month. This doesn't involve no downpayment like TMO and many other carriers wanted for a 256GB model. We can upgrade for free once the new iPhone 8 releases.

An upgrade isn't actually free you know that right? You simply can't upgrade from the predecessor to the successor for free, doesn't matter how it is worded. You always end up paying full price in the end.

You ever heard of a upgrade every year program or just simply buying out right? I'm typing on a 7 plus that will be traded in as soon as the iPhone 8 comes out playa!

Cost less not to upgrade every year even on a plan and my comment was more for those ppl you can't afford to upgrade every year,

People fully understand the cost involved and have no problem with it. I don't even know why you're even bringing it up! For those people who can't upgrade every year, I'm sure they fully understand what they were getting into. They will just wait for the next one like everybody has been doing all along. Are people who just bought the S7/edge going to feel good when the S8 comes out or the new Note 6 months after that? TRY AGAIN!!

I didn't read your whole post but most ppl don't fully understand anything related to tech and plans and s**t. As for your try again, I wasn't trying to do anything bruh just stating my option is all. if you want to argue with someone I am not the right person for it lol sorry.

I can see the premium device changing its name entirely to 'Apple phone'

If it's truth, that means Apple is starting hungry marketing strategy.
