An update to the Android Auto app adds support for two of the most popular Android handsets over the last few years. The Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 from AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are now supported by the app. Those totin' the handsets can enjoy hands-free phone calls, turn-by-turn navigation and messaging all from the safety of the dashboard on their car.

Android Auto, which works with Android handsets running 5.0 or higher, sends everything through your dashboard allowing you to concentrate on your driving instead of your phone. Weather, traffic and information about your commute will pop up on cards that you will be able to see right in front of you. Similar to Google Now, these cards appear just when you need them.

Thirty-five different car manufacturers support Android Auto, and the feature allows you to use such third-party apps such as Skype, WhatsApp and Spotify while you are behind the wheel. For those of you totally hooked on the platform, the app allows you to continue with the Android experience during your daily commute to and from the office.
