Amazon, Best Buy, B&H take $100 off the Huawei Mate 9; sale price is $399.99

Yesterday, we passed along some talk about AT&T possibly carrying the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. And yes, this is a fabulously well-spec'd and good looking device. But if there is one thing we've learned this year, it is that well-spec'd phones that turn heads also turn wallets; inside out that is. The Mate 10, which like the Mate 10 Pro is probably weeks away from a stateside launch, will also be on the pricey side. But if you want a phone that still performs, and makes the average Joe/Jill swoon with a glance, you might want to grab the Huawei Mate 9, now on sale from three retailers.

For a limited time only, Amazon, Best Buy and B&H will gladly sell you the Mate 9 for $399.99. That is $100 off the usual price. The Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch LCD display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Powering the unit is the Kirin 960 chipset, which is equipped with an octa-core 2.4GHz CPU and the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of expandable native storage. Those seeking additional storage can access the 256GB capacity microSD slot.

The dual-camera setup in back includes 12MP and 20MP sensors, and there is a front-facing 8MP snapper to shoot selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on a 4000mAh battery, and the EMUI skin runs on top of Android Nougat. Yes boys and girls, you can start to pour milk into a glass; the phone is believed to be just weeks away from receiving the Oreo update.

Best Buy points out that this deal is also one of its Black Friday specials, and at B&H, the deal comes to a close tonight at midnight. We should point out that this is an unlocked GSM model which means it will work in the U.S. on AT&T and T-Mobile.
