The Huawei Watch D3 has come a long way. The sleek and stylish design makes it almost indistinguishable from a regular smartwatch. Gone is the thick body and the bulky airbag.
The Huawei Watch D3 is just 11.3 mm thick, and it weighs only 40 grams. Huawei has also included a new 25.5 mm ultra-narrow air strap that looks like a normal silicone band.
The smartwatch is available in three color configurations — Black, White, and Mocha Gold, the last being my favorite one.
But the Watch D3 is much more than a good-looking smartwatch. The magic's in the air cuff and the medical-grade blood pressure monitoring that can literally save your life.

The star of the show is the innovative mechanical airbag of the Huawei Watch D3. It delivers effective compression even across a minimal skin-contact area and employs the same mechanism as big cuff-based blood pressure monitors.

Huawei has also perfected the algorithms to be as effective as possible. According to the European Society of Hypertension (ESH), 24-hour BP measurements should be taken at intervals of 15–30 minutes, with at least 70% successful readings, including 20 daytime and seven night-time readings.
Huawei has baked these medical guidelines into the Watch D3's algorithms. It supports 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM).
You can customize the intervals and take manual measurements, of course, or skip the nighttime readings for sleep comfort. The air strap inflates much quieter during the night to minimize sleep disturbance, so Huawei thought of that one as well.
The Watch D3 also has a dedicated feature for pre- and post-exercise blood pressure measurements. You can check whether your BP is in a healthy range before starting to exercise and also keep track of how the exercise impacts your BP readings.
Finally, the Huawei Watch D3 also supports Resting Blood Pressure mode, making it compliant with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) for multi-scenario BP monitoring.

The Huawei Watch D3 is a full-fledged health and fitness tracker as well. It supports Health Glance, a useful 60-second report covering 11 key indicators, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and SpO2, to give you a quick snap of your health status.
The watch also tracks 80 sports and activities and your sleep too, with nighttime blood pressure monitoring, sleep breathing awareness, sleep zones, and wake-up times — the whole package.
Of course, the medical-grade blood pressure monitoring is the focus here, and this watch is aimed at people who need to keep track of their blood pressure at all times.
