AT&T starts taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 can be pre-ordered from AT&T starting today. The slates can be reserved from both the AT&T online store or the carrier's brick and mortar locations. The larger of the two tablets, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be available for $529 with a signed two-year pact, or $629 off-contract. It can also be purchased for $0 down with 20 monthly payments of $31.50. For the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the two-year contract price is $429. Off-contract, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is $529. Or, you can pay $26.50 a month, for 20 months.

Both tablets are available in Charcoal Gray, both feature a fingerprint scanner and both come with a Multiple User mode that allows each member of your family to have his or her own customized settings. The pair share the same 2560 x 1600 resolution and the octa-core Exynos 5420 processor. The two models also include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage and a 128GB capacity microSD slot. Do both have the same 8MP camera on the back and 2.1MP snapper on front? You bet they do! One place where they differ is with the battery. A 7900mAh cell keeps the lights on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. For the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, a 4900mAh cell powers the slab. Both have Android 4.4.2 pre-installed out of the box.

AT&T also has a promotion on the keyboard accessory for both tablets. Until supplies run out, those purchasing either tablet can save 50% on the appropriate Samsung Galaxy Tab S keyboard. While the pre-order period starts today, the tablets will go on sale at AT&T on September 26th.
